I Rene’s has always been very active during her younger days playing tennis and swimming. She then turned into a gym junkie while studying overseas exercising daily. Even upon her return to Singapore, she continued her active lifestyle.  After many years of incorrect exercise techniques, she started experiencing lower back issues and turned to Pilates for rehabilitation. She fell in love with how pilates not only helps strengthen her back, it also is a whole mind and body workout that keeps her fit or even fitter and stronger than her gym days and after having 3 kids! She decided to pursue her Pilates certification in 2008. 

Teaching Style

Throughout her teaching career, I Rene has worked with a variety of clients from those with postural issues, back and neck issues, scoliosis, knee and hip replacements, pre/post-natal mothers and athletes. She is adamant that exercise is the key to a well-balanced life and to ageing gracefully.

Expect a fun and challenging workout in I Rene’s classes!

It started off 10 years ago in Sydney when Celia had suffered from bad shoulder pain from poor sleeping posture and many other causes. After several physiotherapy sessions, she decided to search for fitness exercises focused on rehabilitation and strengthening which could help to improve her shoulder issue. Then, 'pilates' appeared to be the top search result. Just only one trial session, Celia fell in love with the reformer, pilates techniques and focused on how one's body can improve over time through mindfulness movement. After returning back to Singapore, Celia decided to pursue her Pilates certification.

Teaching Style

Celia's goal is to empower every individual able to understand their own self-body better, by going through mindfulness movements will help enhance one's fitness level and improve posture alignment.

Ringo’s passion for sports led him to multiple injuries like an ankle sprain and a fractured wrist. He also suffered chronic back pain from poor sitting and sleeping posture. Through the help of various fitness principles like Pilates and strength training, he built his muscles and joints resilience to injuries as well as keeping his back happy.

He also utilizes a combination of strength training and Pilates to improve his mobility and enhance his sports performance. Ringo has a strong interest in injury prevention and rehabilitation. 

Teaching style

Ringo hopes to show his clients the importance and pleasure of being physically active through strength training and Pilates. He wants to help his clients improve their health, achieve their goals and prevent potential injuries. Ringo’s teaching style focuses on correcting his client’s form, movement and provides different challenges for each movement.

Prior to being an instructor, Melinda was desk-bound in a corporate job spending most of her days seated and sedentary due to long work hours and daily commute. Over the years, lower back and neck issues started to occur more often and intensely; which led to multiple physio visits and Pilates. She has always been a casual yoga practitioner but when she started Pilates and realized her conditions improving, she decided to pursue it personally and professionally. She believes that exercise not only transforms one’s body to be stronger and more flexible but the whole being – mind, attitude and emotion, bringing balance into one’s life.

Teaching style

Melinda is passionate to work with clients helping them build awareness for better postural alignment for optimal movement function in their daily activity. Motivated to acquire skills to assist clients in their post-rehabilitation conditioning, working towards them getting back to enjoying their life.

Expect a challenging and holistic workout with emphasis on form correction!
